Kilimanjaro Kimana

1100 meters above sea level is where you can find Kilimanjaro Kimana, the private Game Sanctuary of African Safari Club. This park is a smallest one we visited, occupies an area of about 50 squere kilometers, but very nice, and in some mode intimate, too.
Accommodation comprised fixed tents standing on a solid base. There, we spent a few days in Twiga Luxory Camp (twiga in Swahili means giraffe), an unusual accommodation but very nice.

The day after, early in the morning, we admired the Kilimanjaro mountain, and saw a lot of wild animals.

Twiga Luxory Camp was very special, and the most luxurious accommodation that we had during our one week safari time. We were located in one big tent, that had another awning over, to protect the main one from the sun. The camp was an open type, that means without fence, so the animals freely walking and passing. One of the night, one hippo took a walk in our camp: we heard it, and we saw its footprint on the soil next morning. The atmosphere was like from the film "The Snows of Kilimanjaro", all in colonial style. We had breakfast near a little lake, full of hippos, with waiters that served us with white gloves - really fantastic.

At the end of safari, we took the plane to Mombasa and then we went to Watamu. We liked a lot our arrival to Mombasa: directly from the plane to the bar! After this aperitif we departed with a nice van to Watamu, where we spent the second week of our holiday.

We came back to Mombasa and in the bar near runway an aperitif expected us
